In honor of our American Independence day, I took the 13.7oz (388g) Swiss Spindrift up to the Ruins to put it through its paces in some extremely light and cycling lift. The wind, if you can call it that, was about 4-6mph (1.75-2.5 m/s) and there were frequent thermals. I had to use camber much of the time to keep the thing flying when it got really light, but was still able to have a lot of fun with it all the same.
A fun Father’s Day flying session at Ellwood Mesa with Swiss Peter’s ultralightweight 13.7oz Spindrift and 17oz Le Fish builds. The wind was crossed up and coming in offcenter but we made the most of it. Good times!
